a feature film version of their award winning video game I SAW BLACK CLOUDS.

The 2024 movie I SAW BLACK CLOUDS is a psychological thriller that combines

With a strong Scandi-noir influence, Writer/ Director Iain Ross-McNamee crafts a dark
and unsettling narrative with the visuals and sound design contributing to a sense of
unease and tension. The small English town where the story takes place is depicted as a
place filled with secrets, where the past seems to linger in every corner, adding to the
film’s overall sense of dread.

Starring Nicole O’Neill (Red Sparrow, Penny Dreadful, X-Men: First Class), Larry Rew
(Underworld Rise of The Lycans, Lord of the Rings, Avatar) and Rachel Jackson (Beats,
Outlander).

The film’s duration is 79 minutes.

Amanda Murray, producer with Ghost Dog Films says: “The locations are equally
impactful and provide additional layers to the story with powerful imagery, an important
part of the narrative.”

Director Iain Ross-McNamee said “It’s been a very satisfying process to edit one of the
key storylines from the original game and turn into a linear film. A movie version will allow
us to reach a whole new audience and I’m excited to see how people react to this
atmospheric ghost story.”

THE STORY

SHORT SUMMATION:

After the unexpected death of a close friend, Kristina (Nicole O’Neill) returns to her
hometown looking for answers only to unearth a string of dark secrets. She soon realises
her life is also in danger the closer she gets to the truth.

SYNOPSIS
The story begins with Kristina returning to her hometown following the sudden death of her
close friend, Emily. Emily’s death is ruled a suicide, but Kristina finds this explanation hard
to believe. Consumed by guilt and unanswered questions, she sets out to investigate the
circumstances surrounding Emily’s death.

Kristina starts by reconnecting with people from her past, including Emily’s family and
mutual acquaintance, Charlotte. As she digs deeper, she uncovers clues that suggest
Emily had become entangled in something far more sinister than Kristina initially
suspected.

Kristina begins to experience unsettling visions and strange phenomena, including
apparitions of Emily. These occurrences suggest that there is more to the story than just
Emily’s death and that Kristina’s own past may be intertwined with these dark events.
As Kristina delves further, the line between reality and the supernatural blurs. She
encounters ghostly figures, disturbing dreams, and moments of psychological breakdown.
These manifestations are tied to Kristina’s unresolved guilt and traumatic memories.
After meeting with the town’s ancestral Lord, Alexander, it becomes clear to Kristina that
the town holds a dark and tragic history, with echoes of past wrongdoings haunting the
present.

The supernatural presence appears connected to both Kristina and Emily’s struggles,
compelling Kristina to face not only the external mystery but also her internal demons.
When Charlotte goes missing, Kristina is forced to directly face this supernatural entity and
try to rescue her friend.

Caught between two realities, Kristina realises her search for the truth has come at a
terrible price.
